Montgomery County's First Time Homebuyers Programs

HCI is a private, non-profit agency that works with Montgomery County government to provide free housing education.

In 1974, Montgomery County Council pass the Moderately Priced Housing Law. The MPH Law requires that between 12.5 and 15 percent of the houses in new subdivisions of 20 or more units be moderately priced .

The Housing Opportunities commission (HOC) provides below market rate mortgages to first time homebuyers of moderate income.

The CDA Maryland Mortgage Program provides low interest mortgage loans to eligible homebuyers with low - to moderate income.

R.E.A.C.H. is a joint venture between the city of Rockville and Housing & Community Initiatives, Inc a nonprofit charitable organization. R.E.A.C.H. assists  applicants with loans for down payment and closing cost assistance..
